Break...
This isn't working while we're having the extension done. I've only managed to play 625 hands this month. Therefore this challenge is on hold until I can actually live at home again and start playing some poker.

2nd Month Complete
My plan was to play a lot more this month but that hasn't happened. We are having an extension done and so I've had to move out to my girlfriends house and pokering doesn't go down too well over there! So overall I've played a pathetic 2.5k hands but have managed to win $278 so still on track. This month will probably be similar - the extension is going to take ages - but I'll try and sneak in the odd session.
Current Winnings = £423
Next Target = $450 by end Nov

1st Month complete
So, September is over, and with it the first month of the new challenge...
It all started well, I was winning a bit and it looked like this month's target of $100 would be easily surpassed. However, then things started going a bit wrong, and I had to start studying for an exam and so I have not played at all in the last 2 weeks. In the end I won a pretty unimpressive $145. Yes it hits the target but in early September I was about $300 up. Anyway, onwards and upwards!
Current Winnings = £145
Next Target = $250 by end Oct

New Challenge
So, it's been almost exactly a year since my last post, and poker-wise it has been a very poor year. I have been very unfocused, didn't play very much and probably broke pretty even. I'm very happy not to play very much, but if I am going to play at all then I may as well try and win some money, so I've come up with a new challenge.
For unspecified reasons I am probably going to have bills to pay of about $5k over the next month or two, and so the aim is to win back that amount over the next year. So, I have about $1k online and plan to turn that into $6k by next year. Here are monthly targets:
Sep 1100
Oct 1250
Nov 1450
Dec 1700
Jan 2000
Feb 2350
Mar 2750
Apr 3250
May 3800
Jun 4400
Jul 5100
Aug 6000
I will probably play mainly cash but we'll see how it goes. Fingers crossed...

Busy month
Wow it's been about 6 weeks since I last updated, and I should have a lot to talk about...
... but I've barely played. I was away on holiday for 2 weeks in August. I went to Greece for a week with the girlfriend and ate thousands of kebabs, and then I had a week in France with family and played lots of table-tennis. This obviously meant I had little time for poker.
Since coming back I've been studying pretty hard as I have an exam on Monday. Actually a lot of the material I've been trying to learn is to do with calculating the variance of cashflows - that could come in handy... I'm actually on a study day today, trying to do some last-week cramming but I keep finding distractions (I've watched the video of Annette 15 taking down a 180-manner without looking at her cards and scoured iPlayer for anything good to watch already today).
When I have played I have not done well. I tried to continue my 4-tabling plan that I started a few months ago but kept getting up to $500, moving up to $100nl and getting crushed. I did this 2 or 3 times and then went through a bad spell at $50nl and gave up that crappy idea. For the last week or so I've been back on PKR - you just can't beat it! Over the very small amount of hands I've played I've been crushing it, so hopefully after Monday that will continue and I can finally get this Vegas bankroll up and running before the big trip. So overall over the last 6 weeks I think I've won about $200 or so but I also had to withdraw a few hundred because PartyPoker starting charging me for me having money in my account - pretty cheeky! So overall the bankroll ~ $5,360

Barely played...
I barely played in July what with holidays and studying, and when I did I only played on PKR so there is no graph to show. I was down about $300 most of the month but managed to pick it up a bit at the end to show a $165 profit. Maybe PKR isn't as easy as I first thought...
Bankroll ~ $5,420

Pretty good month
So the month started like this...
But about halfway through the I changed to PKR and cannot graph that bit but it went well. I would guess that I've played about 6k hands and won about $840, which is well over 50 BB/100, this month which is obviously pretty nice but unsustainable, even at PKR.
So no hand of the month, and no nothing expect a good month.
On the challenge I am now on about $895 and need to get to $1,000 before I can move up to $200NL. I am away quite a lot this month so not if that will happen but lets hope so.
